Dr. Stuart J. Shafer is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been affiliated with Geodyssey Research, LLC since 2004 conducting clinical trials for the following therapeutic indications: Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Epilepsy, Neuropathy, Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension, Pseudobulbar Affect, and Neuromyelitis Optica. Dr. Shafer is the principal Founder of Vero Beach Neurology and Research Institute. In addition, The MS Center of Vero Beach started in 1999 and is a comprehensive care center providing all services needed to treat MS patients in one facility. This includes patient evaluations, imaging services (MRI), neurodiagnostic testing and IV infusion services. While Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke are of special interest and expertise of Dr. Shafer, he treats patients with all neurological illnesses including Epilepsy, Migraine, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's Disease, Peripheral Neuropathy and a wide variety of neurological disease states.

Dr. Alita Gonsalves Sikora, MD has over 16 years of experience. Her specialties include Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and specializes in the rehabilitation and physiological treatment of patients with an illness or injury that affects movement.
Prior to opening her practice, Dr. Skiora did both inpatient Rehabilitation Medicine and outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In addition to seeing patients in her Vero Beach practice, she has inpatient privileges at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and has been a Medical Director for a subacute rehabilitation hospital as well.

Dr. Gerald Pierone Jr. is the founder and Research Officer of Whole Family Health Center. He also maintains a private practice in Vero Beach. Dr. Pierone is actively involved in clinical research efforts, though he holds a special interest in body shape changes and metabolic complications of HIV treatment. Dr. Pierone is actively involved in the management of facial lipoatrophy and has performed over 20,000 facial filler treatments. Dr. Pierone received his medical degree from the University of Florida in 1983, completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, and trained in infectious diseases at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Dr. Suen has special interests and expertise in interventional pulmonology procedures including medical thoracoscopy, pleurodesis, advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy (including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy), and advanced therapeutic bronchoscopy (including debulking of airway tumor, endobronchial stent placement, endobronchial valve placement, and bronchial thermoplasty). Dr Suen also has special interest in the application of point-of-care ultrasound in the evaluation of critically ill patients and has earned a Certificate of Competence in Critical Care Ultrasound from the American College of Chest Physicians. He welcomes the opportunity to evaluate and treat all pulmonary conditions and sleep disorders. Dr. Suen is Board Certified in the following:

Dr. Ronald M Goodman is a Family Medicine Specialist in Vero Beach, Florida. He graduated with honors from Philadelphia College Of Osteopathic Medicine in 1975. Having more than 44 years of diverse experiences, especially in FAMILY MEDICINE. Dr. Ronald M Goodman formally of Deleware, is currently a Sub-Investiagator for AIDS Research and Treatment Center of the Treasure Coast and on staff as a Family Medicine Physician with Whole Family Health Center, Inc.
Dr. Goodman holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is a doctor of Osteopathy.
